Lower energy bills
Our homes are packed full of nifty energy saving features to help you save on your energy bills.
For example, our homes are built with well-insulated lofts (to ensure heat can't escape), thermostatic radiator valves, modern appliances, and water saving taps installed as standard. We also complete air testing to calculate the air tightness of our stunning homes, ensuring they not only look good but are cosy and energy efficient too.
Don't just take our word for it
We're proud to say that 95% of Gleeson homes achieve an EPC rating of B or above*, meaning a new home is definitely the sensible choice. According to Energy Performance Certificate data released in the House Builders Federation (HBF) ‘Watt a Save’ report 2024, for homes logged in the year to December 2023, 85% of new builds were rated A or B for energy efficiency, while less than 5% of existing properties reached the same standards**.
Your Gleeson home will be handed over to you with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) containing information about your home’s predicted energy use and typical energy costs.
According to the House Builders Federation ‘Watt a Save’ report 2024, new build homes are found to be 66% more energy efficient than an existing property, saving homeowners up to £183 a month in energy bills. That's a saving of £2,195 a year!
Think about it, that is approximately the equivalent of the average Premier League season ticket for you and a family member or friend, your next dreamy summer holiday paid for, or treating yourself to a takeaway coffee every working day of the year!
Air source heat pumps
All Gleeson homes starting build post June 2023 will be heated using air source heat pump technology, a much more sustainable option when it comes to energy consumption.
What's more, according to the latest House Builders Federation Watt a Save report, owners of new build homes fitted with air source heat pump technology will most likely see savings of up to £2,575 a year on their energy bills compared to existing properties fitted with gas boilers!**
